Blurbs I Made Up From Reading Book Titles

Have you ever read a book title and wondered what it could POSSIBLY be about?

(that’s me assuming your answer is yes, because otherwise I’m just going to be talking to myself)

So for your reading pleasure, I’ve picked some interesting YA titles and written blurbs simply based on those titles. It’s going to be very interesting.

 

Butter by Erin Lange

The world is ending. Earth has been taking over by a monster who guzzles food left, right and centre – and not just food. He will eat anything: people, goldfish, radios, USB sticks, lamps…nothing can sate the hunger of Ravenous.

There’s only one food that will calm Ravenous. Following the extinction of dairy cows, though, it’s not so easy to come by, and Michael Margarine must find a way to obtain the only item that can save their world…

Can she overcome the prejudice of her people in order to show the the Furry Shorts race is harmful? And maybe even something more?

Then one of Ava’s dearest friends dies, leaving far too much unsaid. But Messengers can’t communicate with anyone they’ve had contact with before the victim’s death.

But Ava will find a way. She has to.

An Abundance of Katherines by John Green

Everyone around her thinks she’s a criminal, a mad woman or an idiot (she forgot to encode English into some of the genes).

It’s not like she can just kill them, though. People are already becoming suspicious about her ability to be in several places at once. What on Earth is she going to do?

 

 

 

 

The Museum of Intangible Things by Wendy Wunder

In Neverland are many wondrous things, and if you can get rid of Peter for a while, there are marvellous places to visit. Among these are the Museum of Intangible Things.

Here you can find all sorts of things: the first smile and Essence of Elegance; cups full of kindness and waterfalls filled with wisdom. These are for looking, not touching. So when Ursula Unembodied steals the Jug of Joy, she unleashes consequences that will stretch across Neverland.

People are starting to age. The Museum is crumbling. Funnily enough, they never thought this would happen.

 

 

A Snicker of Magic by Natalie Lloyd

Snickers, guffaws, chuckles, titters, giggles cackles, laughs. The world of Mirth is full of magic, and the magic depends on happiness. It literally makes their world go round.

But what happens when you have depression, when some days it’s impossible to laugh? The councilmen of Mirth like to think they’re carefree, but those with depression pose a threat. And threats to Mirth’s happiness will not be condoned.

Natalie, though, doesn’t think this is fair. She’d love a good snicker more than anyone, but ignoring sadness isn’t the answer. Armed with ice cream and a helping of determination, she’s going to help Mirth get its mirth back.

 

 

 

So some of these are absolutely ridiculous

Some are actually more interesting. I had a lot of fun coming up with ALL of these. With the exception of An Abundance of Katherines and Butter, I haven’t actually read any of these, so it was easier to come up with possible plots for them. What do you think? Should I do a part two?
